The Business & Technical Challenge

· Business Pain Point: Recurring minor leaks on high-pressure hydrogen service flanges during a refinery turnaround created major safety concerns, regulatory scrutiny, and required re-work, delaying startup by days at enormous cost.
· Technical Challenge: Achieving and maintaining a perfect seal on large-diameter, raised-face flanges in volatile service requires exceptionally even gasket pressure. Traditional bolt-up methods, even with skilled crews, often left low spots causing leakage paths.
Our Custom-Engineered Solution
Yifex implemented a full Synchronized Flange Bolting Program. Using our hydraulic nuts and a multi-port tensioning system, all bolts on a flange were stressed simultaneously and precisely. We trained the client's designated "bolt-up crew" via a dedicated virtual workshop and provided flange-specific load maps.
